Many of you are familiar with our tag sale at the Vintage Warehouse in Hagerstown, Maryland. But did you know we also have a downtown Frederick location? We are located at 217 W Patrick Street, just a short distance away from bustling Market Street and beautiful Baker Park. Today, we decided to share a little “shop tour” of our Frederick space to give you an idea of what’s available! We’re so proud of the little shop and can’t wait for you to come visit!
Upon entering our store, you’ll find a wide variety of vintage furnishings. We specialize in turning old castoffs and salvaged junk into beautiful, unique treasures. We spend alot of our days covered in chalkpaint, sawdust, and wood putty, but the end result always pays off– as evidenced by our Frederick store inventory. Our store offers a perfect mix of French-country, shabby chic, farmhouse, and midcentury styles. We provide a little bit for everyone..
One of the best things about our shop location: the original windows. They allow natural light to stream into the store, perfectly accenting the furniture and decor. Natural light is the best light in which to view our pieces, as it allows you to see the item’s true color and imagine what it may look like in your own space.
A current favorite item in the shop is the Kittinger buffet pictured above. Made in Buffalo, New York, this gorgeous item retains its originial hardware and fabric backsplash. While we do specialize in chalkpainting, we wholeheartedly agree that some pieces simply should not be painted. They simply don’t make furniture like this anymore.
We also offer workshops at our Frederick location. Sign up to learn how to use Annie Sloan chalkpaint and create your own unique treasure! It’s a great way to learn a new hobby and spend a few crafty hours with friends. More details are available on our website.
And of course, where would we be without our Annie Sloan chalkpaint? Not only do we carry a variety of Annie Sloan products (from paint to wax to brushes to fabric), we also stock Miss Mustard Seed milkpaint and Artisan Enhancement products. If you’re looking for the perfect craft paint for your own project, we’ve got you covered!
And don’t worry– chalk paint is incredibly simple to use, even for beginners. If you’re intimidated, simply sign up for one of our workshops to learn a few painting techniques and tricks.
Thanks for “touring” our little shop! We hope you’ll stop by and visit us in person soon!
